@Scattouz youre wrong. It's rigth that Maybach is property of Daimler-Benz (well 'Daimler AG' but who cares). The Daimler AG (AG stands for corporation) relaunched Maybach in 2002.
The double 'M' in the logo stands for 'Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH' (the best translation for 'Motorenbau' is manufacture of engines).
This car is the Reslut of a co-work between Mercedes, Maybach, Fulda (a tirecompany) and german car-design students. 12 million EURO (€) for this prototype and about 7 to 8 for a remake!

MM steht nicht für "Maybach Motorenbau" sondern für "Manufaktur Maybach", in den 1920igern, als Maybach u.a. den Zeppelin baute, hieß MM das, was du meinst, heute aber steht es für Manufaktur Maybach. Die Bezeichnung früher geht darauf zurück, dass MM nur Chassis und Motor lieferte, der Rest wurde nach individuellen Wünschen von unterschiedlichen Firmen hergestellt, nicht mehr unbedingt von MM. Heute ist das anders.
