Zapp n Roger were doing it long b4 now BUT with a Talkbox. Check out a few vids on here, when u hear the sound u'll recognise it. check out Roger Troutman's California Love (the original)
Basic Talkbox concept, play instrument, output speaker encased but with a tube where the sound comes out compressed, tube in mouth, play AND sing, mouth gives vocal sound to music which is picked up by a mic.
That was just for those who dont know about Talkboxes, not to bug people in the know ;-)
