Lying is never good no matter who does it. And if it's from the left I will condemn it. The problem with O'reilly is that he mixes facts with half-truths and distortions. Half-truths are conclusions minus context or historical perspective. His viewers don't care about history that is critical of the US them because it might expose past mistakes of leaders they support. And that hurts.

By the way, the new generation uses alternate media as their sources. Not cable. Older generation watch that.
The old generation don't even know where to start to get alternative news sources; too busy and prefer to have their media handed to them. Which includes corporate media like CNN, MSNBC and FOX. Keep your FOX and get half the story.

By the way, the newer generation also changes their political view once they reach their mid 30s and 40s. Most people in their mid 30s or 40s are moderate to conservative even though they were consider democrats in their 20s. Why does that happen?

One of the man reasons is having kids and being busy. There's just not enough time to be an "activist" as much as when younger. And two, the world is more complex than youth may have believed. Now, this does not mean that the injustices that were exposed by the youth are incorrect. We need watch dog groups; youth to point out crimes when the status quo has been put in power. Someone needs to speak up. Might as well be the kids/younger gen. They have more time and energy.

Most people after they leave college and start thinking on their own and realize they don't like paying higher taxes to support people who don't work or don't make the effort to work as hard as the rest of society. Most people believe their money is theirs and the government should keep its hands off. College brainwashes our young society which is sad and unfortunate.

Taxes and the poor will never be eliminated. All you did was ignore what I said and then bring up ONLY the "tax = lazy people" argument. And? No matter what you do you'll never get rid of taxes so you can forget that. Sure, do your best to change the laws against waste. But ban it? Never. You live in the USA. And it's pluralistic society. That problem with your argument is that most people considered the tax and class issue a major part in what they stand for. I don't want to eliminate taxes but I want our government to stop wasting our money on programs that don't work. Obama claims he wants to provide tax cuts but when was the last democrat president who cut taxes? Obama has proposed over a trillion dollars of new spending and his supposed taxes increases on the 5% of Americans only covers about half of that.

The more money I make the more I've become a Democrat. I have money. And I don't see it as "PUNISHING" the rich (as if you take everything they own). And neither does Warren Buffet. This is not an "all or nothing" society. Redistribution of income does not mean redistribution of ALL income. The later would not work. That's Communism. But neither does Trickle Down Economics.
The middle class is shrinking; to lower class. And it's only going to get worse unless something is done on both sides.

And if you believe that the money you earned is yours but also benefit from public services then you are abusing your stake in this civil society. This is why we don't pay for our Fire Department; because Firemen would drive by houses that were on fire that did not pay. That's wrong and doesn't work.
And those that want more money can still apply themselves and make more. But not at the exclusion of everyone else; which includes civil services that you would still enjoy.

I think you should run for office in your district. And when you get a constituency of white poor. I want you to tell them that they are lazy and start cutting their social programs. Find the out the ones you think don't work and keep the ones you think that are "safety nets" and do help.
