i like the GT-R, but is not match for Porsche's reliability, there are very modified, 800+ HP Porsches out there and the fuse in the drivetrain besides the clutch is the rear axle in AWD models, you solve that puting the GT2 axles in the back. A friend has a '86 Porsche Carrera modified for racing and that car can race all day long without failure, the drivetrain is all stock except the clutch, a 22 year old car. Nissan's GT-R is awesome, but personally i think Porsche built the best sport cars.

Think its too early to judge the GTR (refer to: GT-R : Epic Fail - Garage419). There is enough doubt regarding reliability of the GTR, so I'd wait if your a GTR fan
For me, its the Porsche GT2, GT3 or Turbo.

id defenetily take the porsche, the build, luxury, stickshift, exhaust note, and incredibly fun cornering do it for me. the gt-r is too complicated and not quite the fun of the porsche, also dont wanna spend extra with the markup and gearbox.

i own a gt3 and must respond. i considered a gtr, but I want a car that is engaging and a challenge--not a robocar. The driver clearly did not know how to drive the gt3. any track driver knows that drifting does not get you around a track quickly. Rear engine requires different lines than a front-engine/awd car. the times here mean little
the gtr is clearly awesome, but very different cars for different people. i could hear the shit-eating grin on the swede's face when he drifted the gt3

there two different cars bud. THink about it.
The porche is all about the Driving experience and Precise engineering and beauty.
The Gt-R may be faster then this particular porche but it also does so by using an automatic gear box lol..............
plus when your not on the track with your Gt-R have fun with the 3.8 twin turbo 6 gas guzzler lol..........
While im in my light beautiful normal apirated Porsche.
Besides bud theres better porches.suchastheGt3rsor gt2 :P

GT3 = Car which is a challenge to drive it fast, emocional, etc.

Everything else being equal...a naturally-aspirated, rear-wheel drive, manual sports car is way funner
than a super or turbo charged car, much less one that's all-wheel drive
