Cliff had written this song coming back to Dover, England from France. He had struggled to make his mark in England and considered calling it quits until he made a journey to Brazil which would turn his career around. He also played to sold out shows around South America. In 1969 he released the album "Wonderful World" featuring Many Rivers.

Decades ago, my kids went to schoo in negril for a summer. I remeber seeing "The Harder They Come" in an outdoor fnced in area, seating on benchs holding 5 or so people.
That compared better than going to "Rocky Horroe". both of which had outstanding music.
