ur generalizing is false because people use to think japanese cars had no power, but that is not the case anymore is it?
American cars can handle now, look up the cobalt ss. and japanese cars have power too, look up GTR and the MKIV supras. its 2008, america doesnt have anymore real muscle cars. muscle cars are 6.0 liter + cars with heavy bodies. corvette z06 is 3200lbs 600lbs less than the GTR.

Respect to the driver in the RX. Although in a wider circuit the GTR should win hands down, the driver has to work hard with the RX, whereas the VDC-R in the GTR gives the driver so much more of an advantage with cornering and braking. Another advantage in a course like this is the 4WD GTR compared to the RWD RX.

that's not how touge battles work.
If the 1st car increases the lead, it wins, if the 2nd car keeps up with the 1st or decreases the lead, it wins.
they usually do a best of 2 or best of 3 if there's a tie, and they take turns leading.

Some comments about the video:
This RX-7 I believe is currently/previously the fastest car proven on the touge. The re-amemia RX-7 beat the MCR R34 GTR before, it's brutally fast. The R35 clearly is incredible that it did as well as it did.
Great video, I really enjoyed watching it.
The RX-7 wins overall but I think he really wins it through the last 2-3 corners, on a different track the story might have a different ending.

the RE is a beautiful fast machine made for mountain road, but i can't help but being impressed by the GT-R, consider so much more weight is behind it & could still do so well in a downhill battle.

this is not a fair race. the re amemiya rx-7 is customized. its engine its upgraded and its definetly more lighter. the gtr is not customized at all. is heavier and lees powerful than the rx7 cuz the rx7 has a lighter and more powerful engine. if the gtr was customized that way it would have smoked the rx7

Just because it doesn't have aero parts doesn't mean it's stock.
Manufacturers have had 16 years to develop FD parts and they've only had 2 to work on the R35. Just sayin, it's still impressive how fast the GT-R is.
