I AM FUCKING SITTING IN ONE RIGHT NOW. Its been slower recently, obviously, and I am taking a sanity break. I regret ever saying anything here, as I get like ten fucking comments a day. Yeah you are right about if you cannot close "get the fuck out". At our company you get FIRED WITHOUT WARNING if you cannot close deals, we dont get some Baldwin type guy that comes in and denegrates people flashing his watch, thats at the crappy offices where they have shit salesmen.

I'm sorry... but get ANY actor who is remotely known to act this scene, guarantee they'd do a better job. Affleck is SHIT. Not hating... it's just the facts. This is an avg performance at best. But i understand why the movie is liked.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, but this scene is a sad and blatant Glengarry Glen Ross ripoff. From the "go teach 3rd grade public school" line, ("go home and play with your kids") to the actions like grabbing his keys on the way out the door, (in Glengarry Glen Ross he grabs his watch). It displays a horrible lack of originality. Take my advice and go rent Glengarry Glen Ross and Wall Street and your opinion of this swill will change.

The maker of Boiler Room used GGR and Wallstreet as inspiration. That fact made me rent those two movies after watching BR. I would definitely recommend watching BR first, then watch the two classics afterwards.

If everything the firm is doing is illegal, why do they care about the Series 7 licenses? If anyone ever checks up on the place, they're screwed anyway; whether or not the brokers are licensed would be irrelevant.
I've always thout of 'BR' as 'GGR' meets 'Wall Street' meets 'The Firm.' Although GGR and Wall Street are much better films.
